Not attending CORROSION 2016

I’ve attended CORROSION for more than 16 years, and met many existing clients, business associates, and vendors. CORROSION has introduced me to new, innovative products and ideas which are often used and discussed with colleagues back home. I look forward to CORROSION each and every year.

Travel Tips

1. Turn off mobile data to avoid international roaming charges. Stay on Airplane Mode and WiFi, and ask your cell phone provider about global capabilities. (Please note: The Vancouver Convention Centre's free Wi-Fi will ask you to re-sign in every 20 minutes.)

2. Download CORROSION’s official mobile app before leaving for Vancouver. It’s available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
3. Know your country’s VISA requirements. (See below for more information.)
4. Don’t forget your passport, and be sure the expiration date is well after the conference.
5. If you’re a U.S. citizen, bring your valid U.S. driver’s license.
6. Make photocopies of all your travel documents in case of emergency, and leave them with a friend or family member at home.
7. Notify your bank and credit card provider that you’ll be travelling abroad. At registration and the bookstore, all transactions will be conducted in USD.
8. Check in with your doctor to ensure prescriptions have been renewed and with your insurance carrier to see if your policy applies overseas for emergencies.
9. Get the most bang for your buck and stay organized by reviewing the Advance Program or Conference Preview to plan your travel itinerary and schedule for the week at CORROSION in advance.
10. Bring a rain jacket! Vancouver in March can sometimes be rainy.
