CORROSION 2019 offers a wealth of opportunities for companies seeking to add new employees.One of the more invaluable avenues for finding qualified job candidates is an industry job fair that attracts hundreds of experienced professionals, up-and-coming talents, and graduate or post-doc candidates hitting the job market for the first time.
The NACE Career Fair is slated for Tuesday, March 26, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time. The fair will be held in Grand Ballroom A2 at the Nashville Music City Center.
There are several benefits for participation in the Career Fair: it provides a showcase for companies to display products, personnel, and other assets; it enables networking between current and prospective corrosion professionals; and informs people who do not attend the event about participating companies via web links from the CORROSION 2019 site. This year’s roster of participating companies includes Aegion, Citgo Refining & Chemicals, Haynes International,Integrated Corrosion Companies Inc, International Paint, LLC, KEC Services, Mears Group, Inc., MobilTex, Northern Inspection Services, The Mannik &Smith Group Inc., and True Inspection Services.
The Career Fair also benefits job seekers of various abilities experience levels. Raw and seasoned corrosion professionals alike can take advantage of a variety of resources to help them in their career development. One of those resources is a Headshot Station open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Convention Center Level 2. This station, which is free to all NACE members, allows job seekers to take professional head shots that can be used for everything from a resume to a LinkedIn profile.
A special social media demonstration for scientists and researchers will be held today in the Blue Theater (booth 2108). From 10:30 to 11:00 a.m., NACE International’s Social Media Manager, Janna Schulze, will be showing authors how to quickly and effectively promote their work through the use of tools available through CORROSION journal’s partner Kudos.

On Monday morning, NACE International hosted the interactive forum, Bridging the Gap with Effective Leadership, where attendees learned from a variety of experts in the fields of knowledge retention, knowledge transfer,and leadership best practices.
