There are so many exemplary companies working today in the field of commercial and industrial high-performance coatings that it’s difficult to count them all. Nonetheless, CoatingsPro Magazine will once again recognize industry excellence with its third annual Contractor Awards Program.
The 2019 Contractor Awards Program is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27 from noon to 1 p.m. local time. The ceremony will be held at the Blue Theater (Booth 2108) in the Exhibit Hall of the Nashville Music City Center.
CoatingsPro Editor-in-Chief Stephanie Chizik will be on hand to announce winners and present trophies and plaques to finalists in these six categories: Commercial Concrete, Commercial Roof, Industrial Concrete, Industrial Steel, Specialty Project, and Contractor/Crew Most Valuable Player (MVP). The MVP award is given to a deserving team or crew member for outstanding contributions to a given project.
The submission period for the 2019 Contractor Awards was between November 2017 and November 2018, and all entries were evaluated by a panel of industry experts that make up the CoatingsPro Editorial Advisory Group. For more information on this year’s Contractor Awards, or to see a list of previous award winners, please visit the CoatingsPro website.
NACE Foundation will host the annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony and the GenNEXT Bash tonight. The awards ceremony, which will recognize the outstanding students and scholarship recipients for 2019, will take place tonight from 7 to 8 p.m. Then, at 8 p.m., the celebration starts!
The importance of routine inspection and documentation of aboveground storage tanks (ASTs)—whether required daily, weekly, monthly, or annually—was the focus of a training session on Wednesday afternoon during CORROSION 2019. Presented by Pat Keo of TTI Environmental, Inc., the training incorporated all aspects of inspecting ASTs.
For the second year, NACE International will host an interactive Leadership Forum during CORROSION 2019. Scheduled for Monday, March 25 from 8 to 11:30 a.m., followed by a luncheon, Bridging the Gap with Effective Leadership will provide the opportunity for attendees to learn from those who set the direction of their businesses and use their management skills to effectively guide teams to reach organizational goals. Participants will gain valuable insights and leadership skills that will enhance their personal and professional lives.
