Inspectors, coating manufacturers, contractors, and even facility owners should all know how to use coating inspection instruments properly on the jobsite. These tools can help to ensure that coating and lining systems are installed to meet specifications and assist in avoiding potentially premature coating failures that may lead to product contamination or loss of structural steel if they go undetected. Whether you’re new to the industry or a decades-long veteran, becoming more familiar with the myriad coatings inspection instruments on the market today can be crucial to the success of your next high-performance coating or lining project.
Matthew Fajt of KTA-Tator will be leading a hands-on workshop to offer CORROSION attendees the chance to get an up-close look and feel for these types of instruments, as well as give an overview of the standards associated with such instruments. Fajt’s discussion will include how to measure ambient conditions, measure surface profiles, assess surface cleanliness, measure coating thickness, and perform coating adhesion testing.
Head to the Corrosive Chronicles Purple Theater on the exhibit hall floor on Tuesday, March 28, at 3:30 p.m. to attend this must-see workshop.
